you can also pick up a clean kouki 240 for about 8k and do the lsx swap and probably still be under 14k. then you'd still get your ooohhs and ahhhs and have a dd / track car.

Just throwing this out there....
Why buy a corvette when you can buy a S14 or FD swap a LS1/2 and have a lighter, faster car for less money?

He wants to dd it too, and wants something he can get in and go, not have to go swapping drivetrains and working on and shit. I don't think he's looking for a project car, which is what a 240 would be for a good while.
