I saw that. I need to go to DMV one day this week, so I gotta figure out if I'm doing that or going to lunch.

The difference between the braking power is a BIG jump from the Si to the R. Then again, the R has abs, SS lines, better fluid and suppousedly a bigger brake booster than the SI.
Also the R has powerslot rotors(buying some brembo blanks next)
Seriously, get the cheapest blanks you can. Screw names, I use Prime products rotors because they are $25 a piece.

haven't really noticed it. but that's because i have dark grey wheels on a dark grey car that's often dirty.

IDK what rotors I had on the 4lug but theyh were zinc coated and I <3'd it. Thats why I love the powerslots, they dont rust. (other than the machince surface duh).

(I wont be HPDE'n the ITR unless its ITR-expo.) I wanna take hte SI out though.
(another thread though, be nice lambz.)

From googling I read that ceramic pads shouldn't be used on a typical oem rotor, anyone know if this is true?

I like my HPS pads, Carbotech makes good stuff too. I haven't tried EBS pads but I heard so many strange stories that I took them off of my list of things to try (still plenty of other brands/models to try). I haven't tried much of anything really aggressive on the Suby, because it gets too cold here. The HPS pads are like slippery rocks below about 15degF, I have to drag the brakes a little just to get some heat in them before the first stop sign. I'm really glad I didn't get the HP+, I would have to change to winter pads when I changed to my winter wheels/tires.

I used to use EBS pads on my mountain bike, but I didn't like them so I switched.

the stopping power i got from the hps were great for the daily. they are on the list for replacements

has anyone gone through a set of hawk ceramics? Im interested to see how they hold up in the long run. and if you have, what rotors were you running?

I have them on the rear with Brembo slotted/dimpled rotors (which I've had for probably 5 years) since late May '09, gone maybe 5-6k miles with them.

However, I couldn't say how worn they are, just that they don't need changing yet i.e. not squeaking
