my mom loves the mini cooper. I think out of the whole list she will like the cooper the best. I personally like the cooper as well. Im just not sure its the best choice. I will not be modding the car. It will strictly be for work commute / mom driving only.

Too late. Do you drive in DC traffic every day?

Seriously, if you're looking for a gas efficient car to drive from NoVa to MD, get a hybrid. There's a reason why hybrids are so popular in Fairfax County - the traffic sucks if you have to commute during rush hour. Get the TT if gas mileage is no longer a concern. Any car with a EPA rating anywhere near a CRV isn't going to save you much money commuting on the beltway at rush hour.

The guys out in SE Virginia aren't dealing with the same kind of traffic we have up here. They might be able to get good mileage cruising along on an open road, but that's not typical for DC drivers. My car pulls 30+MPG cruising. In stop and go it's more like 8 MPG. Only a hybrid can fix that problem.

Have you seen the maintenance cost of a fucking hybrid. Yeah GTFO with that shit.

You can get a Yaris for what below 20K and it gets like 35+ mpg.

First Team Honda man,

We have the NEW CRZ just arrived if you like the looks of that ... our techs are already talking about K20's Fittin in the bay
peddle your soul elsewhere.
enjoy your new red box.

I'd say Fiesta or Fit. The TT, while not a bad car, is not a good commuter, nor is it great on gas, nor is it all that reliable. If you wanted a fun car, that would jump near the top of the list...but you don't.

I've searched around man. Honestly all the new line ups from Ford, Honda/Acura, Pontiac, Toyota are ugly as sin imo. wtf. Good luck. =\ Everything looks the same. Like a box. Maybe get a 06 Civic? Hell I dunno. Get a bicycle.

I sold Audis for a bit.... the TTs are nice cars, but the trunk is small, the seats ahve very pronounced bolsters which make it a bit more work to get in/out of etc. If you get the turbo 4 non-quattro they get great fuel economy. But the V6 Quattro is another story.

Corvette is obvious choice.... +30mpg and a useful trunk. It's a no-brainer
