OK....I've not personnally been to that track...but my family is from the OUter Banks....they went to check it out openeing weekend.
from what they told me.....STICKY AS ALL HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sister's b/f has a 2k3 Silverado HD diesel 4X4....with mods. they said when he launched his front tire's came completely off the freaking ground ...and i'm talking a truck with 35" tires here...
I"m hoping to check it out down there myself.

well. i wont be going to this track cause its an 1/8th mile, if i want to run an 1/8th mile ill go to hertford which is like 45 minutes from my house.....why cant people build 1/4mile tracks?.....its so much more versatile....most people want to run 1/4, so you would get all those customers, and then you can have 1/8th mile events and get all those customers, it just makes more sense in the long run......i know its ALOT more money, but if you gonna make a track and call it a SPEEDWAY, it needs to be long enough for most people to get out of 3rd gear......

this is a really nice/fast track it took me about an 1:30 minuts from ptown the pits are right beside the track so you can watch the racing while your pitted they have clean enclosed reast rooms roofed pinictable/eating center a play room for kids pooltable/arcade games the 1/8 mile is good practice dont be ashamed to go
