Newer style motor from the last generation truck V8, its a different port design for the intake to spin the fuel/air mixture going into the cylinder.

It was a crate from what I understand but the specs that came with the motor would seem to be a motor for a 3/4 suburban.

You can take the head from a newer vortec 350 (96-98 model chevy trucks i think) and pretty much swap them onto an older 350ci motor because they flow better and its pretty cheap compared to other cylinder head upgrades. around here "062" head usually go for about $200. I found a set for $170.
