Re: NSX
Well I can't really site any sources except my own opinion on the matter. I, however, can provide some convicing arguements in the form of comparison. And to add, i will post cars that either match the NSX in price, or below.
2004 NSX or C5 Z06?....
2004 NSX or 2004 Dodge Viper Coupe?
2004 NSX or 2004 Lotus Elise/Exige?
2004 NSX or E36 M3 Coupe. E46 M3 Coupe.
2004 NSX or Porsche 911 Carrera? ( though this one is a push...because a Carrera 4s MSRP is 93ish..)
And for the japanese cars ( though not available within the U.S, but just for the heck )
NSX vs R34 Skyline GTR nur-spec?
NSX vs Rx7
NSX vs Evolution 7,8,9/STi
For 90K...the NSX isn't a bargain, nor does it perform as its price or design suggests. It did maybe in its day in the early 90's...but by todays standards..it is over-priced and over-rated.

I'm not believing that you'd ask me to elaborate on my posts when all you did was drag up a few names of some sports cars...with no facts.

Re: NSX
I'm taking your list and telling you what I'd do:
2004 NSX or C5 Z06? -> Wash. I like both cars. If money was no object I'd take the NSX. If I was broke and wanted a sports car with performance near cars that cost 4 times it's MSRP, I'd take the 'vette.
2004 NSX or 2004 Dodge Viper Coupe? -> The Viper you suggest didn't exist so I'll take the NSX
2004 NSX or 2004 Lotus Elise/Exige? -> Are you serious? Definitely the NSX. The Lotus doesn't even have carpet.
2004 NSX or E36 M3 Coupe. E46 M3 Coupe? -> NSX. Completely different cars.
2004 NSX or Porsche 911 Carrera? -> NSX. A 911 w/o turbos isn't really a 911 (996 minus the GT3)
NSX vs R34 Skyline GTR nur-spec -> already covered this pile.
NSX vs Rx7 -> One word: Reliability. Honda designed the NSX to be the exotic sports car someone could drive daily. NSX over and over again.
NSX vs Evolution 7,8,9/STi -> Rally bread for the street? Sure they're fast, but they are plastic heaps. NSX ftw.
The NSX has aged gracefuly, but it has hit the end of the road. I'm sorry to see it go, but do agree that it's very long in the tooth.
However, I can't believe you're downplaying the car that made Enzo Ferrari himself roll over in his grave.
