You'd be suprised how often the hood is up on that thing. And 25-30mpg is a thirsty car?

Re: To paint... or not to paint...
I say paint them. For the record, my valve cover has regular car paint on it, and it's held up fine. Not sure if spray paint would work as well, but i think it would as I've seen some and it worked for them.
Worse case, you just strip the paint off if you don't like it.

I used spray paint from Wal-Mart for my valve cover and I don't see any problems with it and it's been like a year.

I wouldn't paint it, I think it'd look kinda rice with a gloss coat. A nice wrinkle powder coat would look sexy though.
As for the comment about mpg, who gives a fuck. You're clearly not looking to save gas when you build something making 4-500 hp. Comments like that are so annoying..

That's a good idea... hmmmm
Good to know... thanks man.
I think I'm going to paint them. It shouldn't take more than an hour to do it and I think it'll look pretty sharp. I'll keep everyone posted on how it turns out.
Travis... this is a given. Who am I to try and compete with the LE SS?
Besides... we all know:
