I'm pretty sure that record at the Nardo bowl was set by that 9ff a few months ago, that article must be old..

Guiness book of world recods still says the mid 90's McLaren is the winnaar.
To be honest with you, I would never think of this car as an actual "production" car.
If you look up the VIN on one of those, I bet you anything it still says the base model 911 GT2, not their 250mph variant. The McLaren is obviously a different story (which is why it's still in there.)
