It's an SR5 shell with modified firewall and floor, it'll be hard to make the car street legal, I personally think it's better off making it as a track car.

Another vote for the E30. On a tight budget, I'd avoid the ix (more complex, parts are hard to find since it's very rare) and shoot for a 325es or regular 325 - manual transmission only.
