It's an SR5 shell with modified firewall and floor, it'll be hard to make the car street legal, I personally think it's better off making it as a track car.

E30s are dirt cheap man, probably even less than a 200sx. Check craigslist or the classifieds here. Also you have the benefit of a RWD platform to start building on. Actually a guy out my way has a beautiful 325ix (AWD) up on CL for 2k. Look around cause deals are definitely out there, can't help you on the ae86 though, they really are hard to find at a decent price.
