i think the intention is to have the controller mounted in plain view because you have to change channels on the unit itself...

with a nice head unit, ull see no cords. connect the ipod to the cord, have the cord ran from the back of the deck to the glovebox, close glovebox, and control the ipod thru the head unit...no wires.

put it in the sunvisor...get one from the junkyard and cut the middle out and mount it in the visor...like the *****s with tvs...then it will be out of site when folded up..

I thought about mounting it on the passenger side of the center console...

yup, the head unit will function just like an ipod. unless i take my ipod out of my car to update it, i never ever touch it, yet i use it all the time. i cant remember the last time i played a cd.

I don't have that console... I just realized that... I have the no-arm rest center console...

if ur strapped on cash, i'd seriously just staty away from this and spend some dollars on a head unit or something. hell, improve your credit score and take a small personal loan out from a bank.
