Tell him the truth, he'll respect that. Ask for no points and a fine with driving school and you'll save money in the long run...

You should just go ahead and go to the driving school before court. It will look better at court, and you will get +5 points for your driving record if you haven't done before since it would be voluntary and the court hadn't ordered it. I don't see you trying to do anything to help your situation out. Reading this thread has just proved you're an idiot, and you don't even appreciate the cop not giving you a wreckless. Idiot.

The class is easy as fuck and they actually give you the answers before you even take the test, plus you might get to watch one of those cool "Don't do like Jimmy did and D-n-D" movies they sometimes show (depends on the cirriculum of the course per year, I saw one that was pretty graphic... blood and guts = sweet...).

Speedo calibrations are overkill and don't always give you a free walk, plus they sometimes cost more than the class/fines you might be trying to avoid. I had a friend get himself in worse shape that way with the courts when he got busted for speeding over 20mph. He got calibrated and found out he was was off by about 15mph or so and took that evidence to try and beat the rap on the RD. He got hammered with the fines WITH additional money tacked on for Improper Equipment (off speedo), the cost of the calibration (idiot didn't fix the problem, merely got the calibration = stupid), AND the reckless. The insurance co. ate his ass alive. Of course, there was a lot more "Improper Equipment" on his car than just an offset calibration, believe me...

Take the class. I got out of a reckless because I went to the class before court and because it was my first ticket. I only paid $50 bucks and I didnt even have to take a test. All the teacher required was you dont sleep while the class was taking place. He even let us out 3 hrs early.
