Don't know why people make a big deal out of license plate being on the photo. So you think people can't steal your car when they see it in the parking lot or driving on the road with your plate all exposed? I don't get it really, who gives a damn about showing the plate number?
With that said if a thief wants your car you will not stop him short of locking it up evey night along with every other security measure you can add.

Because plate number tells theives where you live. If they know where you live and how nice of a car you have (due to pictures) they are much more likly to target you rather than just a run of the mill crime of oppertuinity.
