from ptown to csx would be one hell of a commute that i wouldn't like to make personally.

pburg is not one of those places you WANT to move to, unless it's in downtown with the nicer colonial-style homes. but again, not a place i'd WANT to live.

Alright guys I'm going to bring this one back instead of starting a new topic since my question/comments are still the same.

Basically I've kinda gave up on the Petersburg area, I saw a few nice areas on the outskirts(Walnut Hill area) but I dont get a good vibe from the city like I used to. Plus it reminds me a lot of Downtown Suffolk and that shit stinks.

I looked at a few places in Colonial Heights, nice area, reminds me of P-town where it has its good spot and its bad.

Chesterfield, so far Im really looking into moving into this area. Found a place where the rents not high and from the looks of it its in a decent community. Surprisingly it only took me 15/20mins to get from the apartment complex(off of route 150) to where I'd be working (in downtown Rich)and this was at 530pm(gridlock time in the 757). So right now for Chesterfield.

I know I still have lots of places to visit in/around Richmond but Im really leaning towards chesterfield. My question to you all is what areas to avoid in the area, any particular neighborhoods or communities to avoid. How are the police towards imports/tint/suspension/exhaust. I know shit happens everywhere but my main concern is that Im going to be bringing my integra with me and it wont be in the safety of a garage anymore so it would be more vunerable to thieves.

arrestafield (as it is often times referred) is a stickler for imports in general. if it's not legal, they're usually going to pull you.

places to avoid: places east of turner rd/chippenham... and imo chester/Jeff Davis area

where are you looking at living? like what area/community?

If you have to ask... then you'll probally get pulled. Chesterfield cops love to pull imports. And on certain nights... you'll see about 3 or 4 about every 5min.

Now Chesterfield is not really known for people stealing shit off of cars or cars themselves but it does happen like anywhere else.

I lived in richmond for a year... then moved to the 757

804 vs 757
- Roads are WAY better...i lost 3 rims to potholes in richmond.
- Traffic is just as bad.. 64 here is backed up jus like 64 there is
- We have a beach..
- "the bottom" is a shithole.. our clubs kick ass out here, compaired to 804 ones
- Cops out here are not assholes.. i was pulled 4 times in richmond for no front plate
- Meeting people is easier.. 60% of the time they are not from here so ya dont have to see them agian if ya dont want to.

If ya move to 804, I say head to Westend, pricey but worth it. HamptonGlen Apts is where i lived for a year and they are very nice...close to everything but kind of away from it all at the same time. They are right off Broad st. cant not remeber the name of the road it's on.. I wanna say Glen something but I really cant think right now.. I know it's a road between a Curcit City and a BBT bank...lol.

Edit: my rent was only 800 for a 2 bedroom/1bath nice sized apt the 2nd bedroom could easily be a den..i loved it.
