Anybody Know this dude?
Hey Everybody,
First I just wanted to say hello since I am a new member. But I was wondering do any of you all know a dude named Jesse that works on DSM’S in the Richmond Area? I have heard, from some people that basically he cheats people out of their cars and money, and I think this is happening to me. He got my car at the beginning of November to replace the head and change the crank pulley and belts. Ok now we fast forward to this month and I haven’t talk to him in almost a month now.I use to get in contact with him at R.P.M on board street ,however he stopped working there like 2 months ago. That was the only way I was really contacting him. Then I found out his parents number, which allowed me to get in contact with him once and he said that when my belt broke it took the pistons to. Since then I have been calling back almost everyday to try and reach him but his mom keeps on giving me *hit ,saying that she will give him the message and stuff but never does. Basically what do you all think I should do? I have had my 91 GSX for almost a year and it’s still not running. Is there anybody in the Richmond area that is good with DSM’s that is affordable ,me being a high student I don’t have a lot of money that’s why I was letting this dude Jesse do it for me.

well first off you need to get the car back, then I am sure me and some friends can take a look at it for you.
if you know where he lives, grab some friends and take a trip to get your car back.

thanks for the quick responace guys
Ok as far as what he has done to the car, He was supposed to :
-replace the head
-change timing and balance shaft belt
-change crank pulley
-and now replace pistons since he said the valves hit the top of the pistons and put nice dents in them.
I hopefully can get a rider over to where he or his parent's live and see if my damn car is still there, then i will work on how to get it back. Thanks again guys, anybod else have any ideas, or know him?

Why call the police? There seems to be no crime commited from the description given of events. Did you get a written estimate of work that needs to be done? Is this person helping you as a favor and simply not gotten around to working on the car due to cold winter weather?
Don't be quick to jump to conclusions. Get the full story, then base decisions with all the facts. From what I've read, the car does not work, and the owner wants it back. What am I missing?
