the only thing about a deck is once you leave you got to pay to come back in.If there was a way to talk to the owner of the deck to get some kind of ticket stub or stamp so we could go in and out that would be cool.whats 2 or 3 dollars cop and jackass free

I think the fact that a paid lot that keeps you from wanting to leave and come back is a plus. Much of the issue at the other lot is people who get the urge to jump in the car race up and down the street in front of the lot and pull back in. If it costs you $2-3 everytime you want to showboat maybe they'll think twice.
I think the key is to pick a place near a couple resturants so if you want to walk around the corner and grab some food you can. No need to leave until you're ready to go.
