I would say they are sensors, but I've been in intersections up here before and the light didn't change when emergency vehicles came to it, so I can't say that's what they are.

Actually those "cameras" are the replacements for the metal strips in the road to sense when traffic is waiting for a light to change. When you see a cylinder on the side the size of a 20oz bottle with two tubes sticking out, those are for emergency vehicles.
And techincally when speaking to Central, the 757 isn't "up here".

Well its most definitely south...so "down" would have to be in play. Perhaps, "Down, over there" would be perfection. Ah yes, I think thats it.
