Which track are you going to?

Yeah I realize Eastside is only 1/8, but maybe that's for the best until I can get dialed in a little better. Launches I have to be careful with right now until I get some more bracing in for my transaxle nosecone.

I was reading Eastside's rules.. do I misread or do manuals really have to have a line lock? I just do E-brake launches for pre-load lol. I haven't had time to get a line lock in place yet, so maybe ghetto is a good match for me.

I am going to go to richmond dragway. I don't know what a line lock is so I don't know. When I have run there before it was pretty casual, I did not even realize they had set rules

line lock goes in your brake line to lock either your front or rear wheels depending on if your running fwd or rwd. I've never seen any track require one though. If you were going to ride 1.5 hrs to richmond, I would just ride the extra 30 min and go to MIR.

If you go to eastside no one will tech you. You just pull up in the lines and someone puts a number on your car and you race. I have never seen them look at anything.

Do I even need the helmet?? lol

About what time to they start letting "everybody" (mooks like me in street cars with no real threat to more than a UPS truck) in?

I have only been there once to race, and if I remember it is around 430 or 5ish, I am sure they will tell you if you call. I did not get there in time for any practice, because we did not get there until around 7ish then my friend wrecked his car in the parking lot. I only got one timed run then straight into brackets. I think it was 15 bucks to run, and you run until you get knocked out then you can buy back in if you want.

Sounds fair. I might give it a shot, just to see where I stand on the 1/8. Gotta get my vents sized up, and do some jetting, and I should be ready to go. I don't think Richmond is in the cards for me this weekend though.
