The drivetrain in the Evo's are great, but once you get in one and drive it you'll see that it really is nothing more than a lancer with a fancy drivetrain. The interior is still built just as cheaply as the lancer as well. Def. not worth $30k IMO. Haven't driven an STi yet, I hear they're fun cars though. I still think, and the numbers prove, that your best performance/$ value is the new Mustang GT though. I think an STi would be a good addition to the group though and I'm sure you'll love it.

 

i love the sti's interior, and driveing the car has to be by far the funnist car I have ever driven.

and the sti will eat a mustang GT alove

granted it cost alot more, but judging but how much a friend pays a month for his 03 compared to whatt he payments on the sti are, they are the same

 

The best value for your money would be an Srt-4. The power makes up for a lot of the looks.

 

hmmm this is a hard choice, sTi or srt-4 which should I get guys, I am leaning towards the car that was slower then my probe

 

That's a damn good price for a Sti. Although the Sti isn't a drag strip car, if you care for straight line racing more than tracks and curves I say go with the SRT.

Mustang is cheaper to mod and responds well to mods. Car payments will be expensive regardless of choice.
