Like said above Optimas suck. I'll never waste money on one again. The 4 I have had the cells kept dieing finaly I got tired of taking them back. Not worth the money at all.
If you go to summit they sale the battery tenders and have a summit brand too (which looks just like the battery tender brand, might even be) Anyways they have a small one.

heres the deal. optima's imho are a waste. sure you can mount em any where and in any position. but whats the point. the warranties on em are never anything special. get an interstate or even a red or gold top duralast. the duralast come w. a min of a 7 year warranty 2 year free replacement. if a car isnt driven that much a truckle charger is always key. Matter a fact Woodrow. see me at werk. I'll see about knocking of 10%.

Re: Looking for a decent battery..Optima?
Optima has had some recent quality problems, I had three Optimas fail in ~6 month period and I've heard of many others with the same problems. Installed a lead acid marine battery in my vette and no problems since.

Two words: Diehard Platinum. 100 month warranty, 4 years full replacement. More powerful and less expensive than an Optima. I bet you can get a pretty good price on it with your discount. There's also a maintainer like what you're looking for on the cheap as well that comes with a pretty good warranty.
