Like I said, You get what you pay for. I would think dropping down the exhaust to make it look good and then cutting it, welding it. And installing it back is worth an hour of labor.
And to OP, if somebody quoted that to you from the shop, I will honor the 75.00 to help you out.
We are not a muffler shop and put out a different quality of work.

I wouldn't even turn my welder on for less than that hourly.
Never settle because once you start settling for less than what you truly want, you send a message not only to yourself, but to those around you that you don’t have it. You don’t have that “it” which serves to separate the great from the mediocre
Every job I ever did for a friend or for a customer, less than my normal rates. It ALWAYS came back to bite me in the butt. My last free labor job, just making a guy pay for material got me a nice spot on this site for negative rep because I didn't back purge his down pipe??
Nothing against the OP, Im sure you'll find 100 guys who will love to give you a hand. But anyone with a reputation or a business name to withhold has "alot" of risk involved when it comes to underselling their work.
