Yea, when I got mine for free, figured out what it was, scrapped it for a $10 10 speed off craigslist that was at least an american style frame, lol.

I know, was just an example. I looked in the LBS's catalog and pretty much everything that was French threaded was ridiculously expensive.

PS I hate Phil Wood shit. Way overpriced and only good for rich bitches to show off how much their mom and dad's credit cards can buy.

Hey Ian, go to Bunnyhop on Grace St next to Little Caesars. Good people. If you want to find used bike parts though, Recycles is better for that.

Really? Everything I have read/ heard from people is that they are the shit, hands down. I played with one once and it was amazing, I want one when I decide to build a bike.

not with mom and dad's card, lol.

Don't get me wrong, the stuff is really good, but you definitely pay extra for the name. In my opinion theres no reason to go Phil over other cheaper, just as quality alternatives. Of course, both my conversions had IRO hubs and Sun rims lol

Best thing to do is get some IRO/Formula hubs and whenever you go to repack/replace the bearings just replace them with phil wood bearings. You can get them for $2-$5.
