their magnesium chloride salt solution hasn't been adopted, last i checked, by henrico. their storehouses all stock sand.
richmond city stores salt for bridges through vdot's richmond district, but since sand is far cheaper, usually use that on roadways and salt only for bridges when necessary.

Honestly, VA doesn't get enough bad weather to really need an undercoating. Kind of a waste of money.
Since the Fiance is from WI, and her family lives there, I went and had mine done in case we ever have to go up there, and stay for a while.

I just did my truck frame with rust converter. Couple spray paint cans. I use that then undercoat every winter. Not sure What you are workin on and how well it would work for you tho. You could try a few spots
