Cam 2 purple, yes it's leaded.

It's just off the pike near the big flea market where the old drive in theatre was years back. They also fill nitrous bottles among other things. 4$ per LB I think.

Danco sells Cam2 purple also I think as well as 100 unleaded. They are by the airport headed away from richmond dragway.

The pump on my Alcohol injection shit the bed so I've got mix in some good stuff or make up some more Xylene brew for anything over 17/18 psi now .

Alcohol injection is the shit for playing around on the street cheap.

i've thought about water/alky injection too, and am considering going that route for next season, what setup do you have? the SMC one? or custom?

also, this place AED, you say they have it at pumps? if so do you pay at the pump any time or would i have to stop by during their operational hours?

reason i ask is that i'll be taking a class about 15 minutes from there this summer and i could stop by after class before heading home and fill up, but my class is at night so i'm sure htey'd be closed by that time... i could go before class but i'm not sure how good an idea it is to have 20 gallons of race fuel in 5 gallon tanks sitting in my car any longer than i have to, much less sitting in a parking lot

that's a good price... is that place a gas station (pump?)

as said above i dunno if i'll be in the area while these places are open and they are in seperate directions (but equal distance nearly) from where i'll be 2 nights a week, so i'm trying to figure out which one i should go to when i'm out there monday night

Yes Danco is a gas station.

AED OR advanced engine design has one pump in the back of the lot.You have to go inside and get the key for the pump first and then pay after you pump.

I have the SMC kit that has a dead pump now.
SMC kit uses a submerged pump that only lasts 1 or 2 years, denatured Alcohol is a bit more corrosive than gas.

I will be switching to Razor's progressive kit in the near future. You can run methanol in his kit which you can't in the SMC one. Methanol will make a little more power than denatured.

The SMC kit is hard to tune and likes to bog(crapy spool up)since it's not a progressive system.

i had thought i heard methanol wasn't good for engines... maybe i heard wrong... yeah i hear about parts on the SMC kit going bad a lot, though it is priced well.

i guess i'll have to check out Danco then since my class is til almost 9, and AED sounds like a shop so i assume they'd be closed

Has to do with the pump you use. If your using an EFI style pump, then denatured is the way to go. If your using a diaphram style pump... then you can use any. EFI pumps have steel roller vanes and cannot accomondate a corrossive liquid. Denatured is less corrossive than methanol. And the lube is to assist the pump from having issues. On a diaphram pump no lube is needed..

SMC kits have EFI style pumps so you have to use a little klotzlube with the denatured.

Kits made by Razor have diaphram style pumps.

You can go faster with meth.

No you don't want to just pour meth in your gas tank. In an alky system it's ok.
