WOAH WOAH WOAH, you bought an rc51 with 1600 miles? Every time you see them on CL they are between 20,000-40,000 miles. People think mine is crazy low at 10,000.

02` is the SP-2 which is good, you have the updated suspension. You gotta get pics up, i neeeeed to see this thing. These bikes grab attention at any bike gathering. The people who know what they are converge on you before you even have the chance to peal your helmet off. The fact that it`s been down makes me want to do an RC fighter soooo damn bad lol.

I've been looking for an SP-2 for those exact reasons and better injectors compared to the SP1. I was looking at a few with 20K+ miles and saw this thing get listed an hour before I saw it, guy wanted 3350 for it. At that mileage and price it would be gone the next day so I drove 2 hours to PA, this guy had another 00' RC51 with 80k miles along with quite a few other nice toys.

My bike had 1,680 miles when I picked it up, the 2nd owner only put 80 miles on it in a year. The front fairings have some rash, small dent in rim, dent in the tank, right slip on is bent, the front is zip-tied back together, rear brake and shift linkage are bent but functional. I'm pretty sure the map/baro sensor in the snorkel was damaged when the original owner laid it down, after checking the FI code and forums. I did an oil change, flushed/bled the brakes and clutch so far. Waiting on a new set of tires, map/baro sensor, and pro-tek rear sets to come so I can have some fun.

Pfft, that`s way better looking than i thought it was gonna be when you mentioned it was down. I`m really happy for you, it looks great.

I`m still on the fence about whether or not i`m going to keep mine or sell it for a later model vfr. Sport bike seating position has been killing my back lately. Amazing bikes though, they pull like a damn freight train.

How much do you guys pay to have a set of tires mounted?

Was just told $40 per wheel, off the bike. $80 to mount 2 tires just seems a bit ridiculous to me, or am i being a cheapskate? I used to have a buddy who would do front and back for $20 but he`s not around anymore...

Not sure if highway robbery or if that`s just what shit costs.
