Re: Cycle whore thread
if you want a slow bike to go fast on, that's the ticket. One of the best handling bikes EVER, imo. and that one has a sweet setup.
Nothing like passing a gixxer750 mid-corner on a 400. make sure you give him the bird on the way by though. They love that.

Re: Cycle whore thread
Man... fuck BikeBandit.com. Check with customer service, and apparently, the regulator I ordered is mistakenly listed. What's better? I would have to contact Electrosport myself to resolve the issue and get the proper regulator. Even better than that? My stator (that got backordered) ETA is next week. Being on Live Chat for over an hour (majority of it being bot messages) and pretty much getting nowhere? Shitty end to the day.

Re: Cycle whore thread
So just picked up a 2003 Yamaha R6 in perfect condition with a blown engine (threw a piston through the block). It was offered to me... but I let me nephew pick it up for his first bike. Cost him $1500...
I just so happened to have a 04 R6 engine just sitting in storage. So I brought the engine over to his house and we hit it..
Purchased the bike Wed around 4 or so... Starting working on it at around 8.
I went and picked up my spare frame with the engine in it. We had both engines out by 4am.
Took a break... hit it again at 5:30 on Thurs... Had to swap all the stuff off the engine.. and put it in... engine was in the bike by 8pm.
Finished wiring it up around 11pm.. after a break and some procrastination.. LOL...
Giving it an oil change and fluid flush.. then gonna be trying to start it today... Hopefully all goes well.
