race gas is a waste of money unless you tune the fuel map to run the higher octane just like in a car.

i've said it before, but i'll say it again.

higher octane does not make more power. octane ratings are only a measurment of the fuel's anti-knock properties. unless you have stupid high compression, or are running a blower, it won't do anything for you except make your bike run hot and smell better (but that's a matter of opinion ). period.

Ive seen dynos printouts of vehicles that lost power with higher octane gas.
Go with what the frickin manufacturer recommends. and forget octane boosters and that BS.. too

As for FI not being as smooth as Carbed stuff, well. lets just say that some FI bikes arent smooth out the box like a carb engine is.

But thats nothing a PCIII and good dyno tune wont cure.
