No I haven't but I have been riding R1's for a while now and I am pretty comfortable on them. I wouldn't mind riding a boosted 600.

I am not a new rider. I have been riding for over a year now. I think I am ready to own a liter bike. I rode a 98 R1 and a 02 R1 for a while. My first bike was a beat up 99 GSX 600. Im not stupid.

It would seriously depend on how someone would want the bike (ie. complete with mods or some factory parts put back on). I spent somer serious coin on all the mods for this bike (well over $10,000) but realize that you never get it all back. I know I wouldn't take less than $8500 as it stands now. 3500 miles on the bike.
