Again, great ride guys, I think we know what we need to change for next time (rider formation for passing) and take back roads like was suggested. Group ride, weather permitting, atleast once a month?

Here is a good update for everyone, Greg (guy from Richmond) got his ruckus back. Not sure if anyone was caught or killed during the recovery, hopefully we will find out more soon.

Drove 4 hours up there. Ruck looked rough but figured eh it's a good price and I'll talk him down a good bit because of cosmetic condition, no prob. He kick started it, wouldnt stay running. Not even long enough for a test ride. I figured this sucks but I'll still make a low offer because prob won't take much to fix and I'll be up and running for a lot less than planned. That MF'r wouldn't budge from $1800. So I drove up there and wasted 8 hours/$100 or so in gas for nothing. He took his ad down after my wife talked to his sister and told him I wanted it, so i can't go back and look at the ad which sucks, because I swear the pic in his ad wasn't the same Ruck I went and saw. I don't understand what the hell some people are thinking. Especially considering it was a friend of a friend.

 

Pretty crazy he found it right around the corner from his house....

 

That shit sucks. Especially since it was someone that wasn't a complete stranger.

Agreed. I just read that and am kind of surprised he got it back in such good condition. I think they will find the guys too, since they are to stupid to get rid of his ruckus somewhere where no one else would have found it, shit or even parted it out.

It was really uncomfortable because he genuinely thought it was worth it. I felt like an ass but he said it was in great (and he emphasized GREAT) shape on the phone, and then acted shocked when it wouldn't run right. I didn't want to be a douche but WTF man.
