If that is an IHAR head, it will probably hardly give you anything. The valves are not in so its hard to be 100% sure but I don't even think the bowl is ported from the dark carbon you see in there. The important part of the chamber work is to unshroud the valves by laying back the chamber to the 30 degree top cut of a three angle valve job, In fact the unshrouding should make the 30 degree cut just a break in the edge of the 40 seat cut. This was not done on your head, the chamber was polished mostly for looks.

Most of the important port work on the ruckus is to center the valve pocket in the port, to clean up the short side radius and to open up the transition from the valve pocket to the port. This is way more important than simply enlarging the port. Most of the power is found here. This clearly was not done from the picture. It is also important to grind the valve so the 45 degree cut is as high on the seat as posible and then open up the seat right to the edge of the 70 degree throat cut. I bet this was not done. It is also important to tulip the valve, narrow down the 45 seat and reduce the stem because the stem to port ratio is so bad on the tiny ruckus port. I am postive this was not likely done on this head.

If its not too much trouble, pull out the valves and post a pic and I'll tell you if this job is totaly bogus. I can't belive this head was $750 because thats the cost to mildly port a car head! My head cost less than that!
I can't brag yet because my motor has not run yet but I am confident that it thats whats called headwork, then no problem.



Here is some real porting, for comparison, you can ignore the singh grooves and the welded quench area as I am experimenting. Note the high 45 seat, this effectivly makes the valve nearly 2mm bigger. Note the smooth transitions from the seat to the chamber and the port to the seat, look how the bowl is opened up and smoothed.



See how the port is opened all the way to the bowl and centered there and how the exhaust roof is raised and flattened to sort of a D shape. This has the most actitivty and the most area. The overall port size is kept sorta small to keep the velocity up. You can probably picture how this is going to flow much better.



The roof of the intake port is D shaped and flattened.



The valve stems are reduced and the valves are totaly tuliped to unshroud the 45 seat and lighten things.

This is real headwork and less than 750 bucks!
