Re: Mohawks
So do you guys think the general concensus is that it's not looked down upon by the community as a whole to have a custom lid? I've never customized a helmet as of yet, but I've always been into the idea of having something absolutely different from anyone else. This sounds lame, but that was one of my favorite features in the movie "Biker Boyz" - the helmets!
I think a lot of the big bike crews that don't wear half shells do a lot of custom gear like custom logos on their clothing, custom helmets, etc... so I guess the foundation behind that is kind of "squidly" because a lot of them wear leather vests with their crew logo and that's all. lol. I just want a fucking helmet!

Re: Mohawks
I think custom painted helmets are definitely cool. A buddy of mine who has the Raven R1 has 2 custom helmets, one is spider man, one is venom, I think they look wicked. The other day, I saw a guy on a Kawi with a lizard painted helmet, same green as the Kawi green and I could not stop looking at it.
Like someone said before, the helmet alone really doesn't do much, but with the right gear, right bike and right paint scheme, it can be mean as fuck.
