Welcome to the bike world......
I've had my bike two months and have only put 600 miles on it...busy as hell and too busy modifying it.

Be careful and don't be a squid.....

Hey, how ya doin? I just got home about an hour ago.(I work Mon-Thurs in Annapolis) and I haven't taken it anywhere yet. I think I'm going to do the oil change myself and swap over to Mobil 1. I do want someone to do an overall check on my bike for it's first inspection. It's in a few pieces right now while I install a few mods. New grips, seat cowl, graphics and some carbon pieces. Had to buy another set of grips because the throttle grip wouldn't budge and the glue setup on me. Oh well. Hopefully I can take it out for a longer ride. I just finished putting a new undertail and installed a Jardine carbon fiber race can. I wanna get up with some locals.....next weekend I plan on cruising alot. Let me know when you get your bike squared away.
Peace

Rich

yours was the 600rr right? if you only have 600 miles on it i wouldn't go to mobil yet... use the honda GN4 until 3k, then run whatever you like... i run mobil 1 mx4t in my 1000, but its too slippery for some bike's clutches, see what guys on 600rr.net or whatever are having good luck with

Thanks for the recommendation. Some guys like Motul, some like Mobile 1. Maybe I'll swap later. Thanks again

motul also seems to be pretty good, i got a free case of it along with a bunch of their other products in the mail from my cornerspeed track day, haven't used the oil yet but the other products i was very impressed with

if you want to go semi synthetic though the honda pro HP4 10w40 did awesome in an oil test i read last year, the only things that beat it were racing oils that require being changed like every 1,000 miles
