im 5'11" and i have rode from yorktown to VT a few times, i have never had a problem wih comfort

+1 Ick's corbin seat is like 2" thicker than the stocker.

if hes a tall dude then tell him to check out the kawi it going to be the biggest 600 out right now I ride one for the track Im 62 and its a better as far as comfort goes.

For the most part Honda doesnt know what comfort is when it comes to sport bikes. but when it comes to crusers there all about the Goldwing hell it even has reverse.
