Re: Vibration at 4k
Ohhh well hmmm I feel marginally better it has not popped out of gear while accerlerating hard. I think your right about me pussy footing it because it really only happens when I am like whatever riding in a parking lot or in my neighbor hood up to my house and i think it has happened to me like three times in a month.

and on most sportbikes, it's almost always 2nd or 3rd gear that goes, especially if you do alot of wheelies.
also look at the drive dogs on the gears, the should be nice and square too (or even undercut in the first few gears), if they're rounded off, that'll cause it to pop too.

I have a shop manual for my bike and I am almost thinking that I could do most of this work myself I just do not have a place to work unfortuently. I am going to build a bad ass shop for myself one day where I can tinker all day long.

lol, yeah, me too. i'm looking for a 4 car garage with an apartment over top of it....
heaven!!!
it's not really too hard to do, but if you've never spit a set of cases before, it may be benificial to have someone there who has, b/c there's all sorts off "little things" that can be easy to forget, that could cause ALOT of damage.

Hey man, if we get lucking in this deal going down in a few months I might just have a place. There is a house we are renting that has a whole one story house side garage/shed that we are not allowed to use but we made improvements to the original house we are renting and take care of things so the owners and the relestate managers are considering letting us take over the backyard/house/shed deal as long as we clean it up. There will be no increase in our rent, before they wanted an extra 400 dollars amonth for us to use it plus for us to clean it.

sounds like a plan. i'd be happy to show you a few things in getting it done. it's always good to help guys to be able to fix stuff on thier own (even though it's bad for buisness for me). once you learn HOW things work, it's alot easier to diagnose problems that come up.

I am not a bitch. I would pay you for the time, I am the type of person who pays more at my local shops because of the relationship anyways. I used to work at a family owned bicycle shop for 5 years so I know all about seeing the customers build the relationships.

yeah man, i know what you mean. i do it because it's what i love to do, not for the money (obviously, cuz i'm broke). there's alot to be said for waking up in the morning and not thinking "fuck, i have to go to work, i hate that place". it makes the rest of your life alot easier.
i'd rather help someone who's really interested in what i do than shun them off and not show them anything. that's bad for buisness too. i know i'd much rather deal with a shop where i know people, and where they treat me like a real human being, not just some random customer.
like i said man, if you want someone to help you out tearing down your motor, let me know. if you really want to learn, i won't do it for you, b/c you'll never learn that way, but i'll supervise, and make sure it goes like it's supposed to. i've learned ALOT of lil tricks over the years that can save alot of time and effort getting it done right, the first time.
