4-5k if I'm in a rush... 3k on the usual, I prefer to save money on gas and from getting 'loud exhaust' tickets... (especially if I have my daughter in the car.)

for regular riding i like to stay right around 4k rpm so i can have useable power if i need it on the fly... so i usually shift right there around 4k
if i'm riding hard then maybe 7 or 8 grand, thats what i like about the 1000, is being able to ride fast and not have to be bouncing the rev-limiter to do so... only time i see 10k+ is if i'm racing another big bore
