1987 Eddie Bauer Bronco *lifted
Name: Nick Johnston
Location: Newport News/ Yorktown
Means of contact: pm, post
Price: $ 2000 obo (negotiable)
Trades: Ford diesels and foxbodies
Description:
Make: Ford
Model: Bronco Eddie Bauer 4x4
Mileage: over 150k on body, less than 40k on motor
General:
This truck has been a blast to own. Ive had it in snow, sand, and mud more than once and it handled it with ease. It is 4 wheel drive and still has stock gears and axles. i would LOVE to keep this truck but It's just time to move on, i want a diesel. onto the goodies..
Motor: i have ALL receipts from this motor build.
302 windsor
E7 heads w/ fresh valve job and dual valve springs
Scorpion 1.6 roller rockers
Trickflow Stage 1 cam
Weiand Stealth intake
Holly 650 cfm 4 barrel carb.
MSD distributor and A6 box
Exhaust:
hooker shorty headers
bassani 2inch y pipe
flowmaster 40 series
Suspension: all work was done by previous owner
skyjacker 6 in suspension lift kit
3 in body lift
wheels/tires:
currently on it are some 15x8 steel wheels
36x13.5x16 super swamper tsls
the truck will come with some 15x12 eagle alloy polished wheels as a gift
interior:
interior is immaculate for the age of this truck. The only thing i did was remove the factory rear carpet to put in a bed liner for my tools to sit on. There is one slight tear in the driver seat from sliding in and out, but thats it. Everything else is minor scuffs from everyday use. No cracked dash, or cig burns on this baby.
exterior:
for somebody who is into a showroom look, the truck would ned to be painted. for somebody like me who didnt care, the truck is fine. There are quite a few rust spots underneath, but as much as this truck has been through its to be expected. The hard top is removable, and doesnt leak. Ive had it off multiple times and put back on with no issues.
the bad:
-front hubs won't engage for 4 wheel drive. (i know its not the transfer case, because the driveshaft still spins)
-the truck could really use a tune up. There is an issue with the carb (time for a new one) ive played around with it numerous times and its still running rich. I drive this thing daily and between work and school there is absolutely no time to even think of working on it. if i had another car to drive id love to keep this and fix up, but my situation doesnt permit that right now.
-it will need tires. Fronts are now bald, and Rears slowly leak air.
overall its a good truck. It needs some tlc, but its an '87....what do you expect?
Pictures:
if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
thank you for looking
