I'm not sure. I can only tell you that it came out of a 2000 acura integra gsr. If there is a way to tell if it is a or b (never heard anything about that) let me know and I'll snap a pic and post it up for proof. Thanks.

when you say "thrown rod" does that mean there's a hole in the block?

that is usually what happens when rods are thrown. lol

no i was saying how would it be a candidate for a rebuild if it has a thrown rod. i know what a thrown rod and a spun bearing is.......
