Default Corvette Fans C1 thru C7 Stingray

The Tidewater Corvette Club will hold their "CORVETTE SPRING ROUNDUP" at Casey Chevrolet on April 26th, 2014 from 9AM to 3PM. The event location is 11700 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA at the corner of Jefferson Ave and J. Clyde Morris Blvd. This is a Corvette only show C1 thru C7 with trophies for 1st and 2nd place and C1 thru C7 modified. There will be music by Colonial DJ with a food vendor on site. Casey will have the new Stingray available for your perusal, as long as the supply lasts, and will be presenting a Dealers Choice trophy. There will also be a People's Choice and Best of Show trophy awarded. All registration proceeds and donations will benefit the Peninsula Foodbank as well as any canned good donations. Goody bags with dash plaques will be given to the first 50 registrations and all entries will receive a dash plaque for the occasion. Visit our web site www.tidewatercorvetteclub.org for registration forms or email Mike mjholden57@gmail.com for additional information.

I love these cars but I hate the vette only shows. There's only so long you can spend looking at the same cars over and over again. That said, sounds like a good cause. I hope you have a good turnout, OP

Well I appreciate that, but when you have over 60 years of evolution in a model it becomes near and dear to many people. Plus it's just good old American muscle and that draws in a bunch more. We previously, the last 6 years, had open registration to all makes and models and corvettes were always the biggest draw. Possibly because we are a corvette club and we go to other car shows and always see others we know from corvette clubs. So that combined with changing our venue and Casey Chevrolet being the biggest seller of corvettes locally it only made sense. We have a fall show in the works and that possibly will be open to all. It's all for charity, we keep nothing, just a bunch of people who like one particular make/model of car getting together and enjoying the festivity. Thanks
