January Hampton Roads BMW Meet (Go-Kart edition)
We had the Dec meet in NN, so this month will be in VA Beach.
The details are pretty much hammered out! It is on January 23rd!
We will be meeting at American Indoor Karting in VA Beach. The meet starts at 10 am! This is early, but not bad if you are in the area. Our track time is 11am-Noon. Be early if you want to race!
After that, we will have pizza (provided by AIK) and refreshments and hanging out. We should be able to fit all of our cars together and then do the chat/bs thing after.
I know a few people might still want to cruise a bit after. We will see how that goes after the karting.
DETAILS! READ!
We are renting the track at AIK for this meet. The hourly price is $850. This price will end up being split by all the racers. I hope to drive the price down to cheap for everyone, but who knows? I have close to 20 confirmed right now. I don't think we are going to have an issue getting 30+ racers.
As you guys might know, we love having new people at meets. Come out and hang! However, in the event that we have too many to get in, we will have a priority for racers. Our "regulars" (people who have been to a meet before) are first. BMW drivers (new guys) and friends are second. Others are 3rd for racing. If you don't end up racing, I am sorry, but it should be a great meet regardless so come out!
So, to recap:
23 Jan. 10am-2pm @ AIK in VA Beach. Racing is 11-12.
Pizza will be provided. We could probably use some people to bring drinks and chips or something. Feel free to!
Racing will be paid for directly to AIK. I will not be taking money.

Due to the nature of this event with respect to the high cost...I would suggest developing a list of confirmed attendees just so we know the EXACT amount of money and food to bring.
I will definately be there and may possibly bring 2 others, but count me in for sure.

I had considered having people RSVP directly to me via email, but there is really no point. I have outlined the rules and I am confident that we will have enough people (I have RSVPs via PMs, email, forums, and our Facebook group.
Feel free to join the group and RSVP if you like as well...
Really. It isn't a huge amount per person anyway regardless. We have enough to make it a good deal as is.
As for food, if people just bring some chips or something (I intend to get some stuff) then we will be good. The pizza should cover 80% of everything at least.
