I talked to the lady in charge and she was very helpful.

The parking is included in the 50 person count. If you have a shelter rented, and the shelters around you are rented out as well, if 100 people are in the parking lot, then there would be a problem because we are using too much parking spaces.

I was going to rent 3 to accommodate this, then she suggested I just get a large group shelter, which is also cheaper. This is where our new problem comes in

There only 2 group shelters are already reserved for this weekend. However, there is a shelter at a different park in Newport News.

I don't know the name, but I'm going to check it out shortly. If there is nothing wrong with it, then this will be where we have the meet.

If for any reason, I don't like the layout or it won't meet our needs. We can push the meet back to next weekend, and have it in NN park, like I planned.

All parking is "general", its just if its a busy day, and we are such a large group that we are interfering with other groups, then we are a problem.

So we shouldn't have any issues really, but if everyone acts like its a "car show" then we will have problems. I need to check this new spot out first to have an idea of what our options are.

Riverview Farm Park, its right across from Menchville High School. Nice place, bathrooms and space. There are 2 decent sized speedbumps going in, I know some people are gonna hate me.

This is the only way we can still have the meet on schedule. I'll update the main page with the new stuff shortly. I'm sorry for all the last minute changes guys.

Also, there was no grills at all, atleast that I saw. So if we are going to cook, we need a grill.

I have no clue about anything on the southside. I picked a location on the peninsula because we have met on the southside most of the time.

I'm going to finalize everything else today, and I'll change up the OP so its correct.

Once again, sorry guys, I thought I had everything squared away. I'll take care of it.

Do the same rules apply at Riverview as far as the " no car show" rule goes? Btw I have a grill I can bring if we still need one

Its more like, they didn't say we couldn't have one at NN park, its just they couldn't give us that many parking spaces for just shelter rentals. We needed a larger one, which are all reserved until like next weekend.

I was told about this park because it had no reservations, and is less occupied than NN park.

Do you have anyway to get the grill there? If not, we can figure it out.
