Basically the whole quick reply box is greyed out and you can't do anything with it. it's happened to me in IE, chrome, and FF so it's not a browser thing. It's happened at home and at work so it's not a PC thing. usually if I close out the browser and come back in it starts working again.

I recall seeing that on another site before, but have no idea the cause.
If you clear your cache/cookies, does it go away? I've just tried FF & Chrome in addition to my standard Safari, and can't replicate.

There are 2 issues. First is gray box rep.
Positive rep is being given a null value from users with positive rep scores (instead of with negative or no rep scores).
examples:
reputationbit_7703504_47210 = gray
reputationbit_7703497_47407 = green
Second is gray box quick reply. The quick reply box is grayed out, unusable.
This occurs because the session ID and/or cookie is not being transmitted/checked by load balancing server. Reloading the page usually corrects since the session id/cookie is force re-checked.
