No, I know, but it doesn't stop a lot of people. Not a single one of the S15's or JDM DC5's in the US is federally DOT/EPA legal, but people find ways to register and drive them anyway.
The fact that it's a conversion on a US-legal chassis is a positive, not a negative. That means no one can arbitrarily seize and crush such a beautiful vehicle.
