Default 1986 BMW 325

New Pics on Page 4. Taken on May 23, 2008.
Fog lights back on and fixed!
Price reduced!

Name: Kent
Contact Info: PM, Phone (757-898-1813) If no one answers, leave a message please, and AIM (JesusKnifeFight)
Price: $1200 OBO
Location: Seaford (23696)

Car: 1986 BMW 325 - 5 speed!
Mileage: Odometer stopped at 214,xxx
Color: Blue

Exterior Condition: It's in realitively good shape for being 20+ years old. The paint is starting to fade and there are a few dents, only one good sized one (About fist size). There are some dings, espcially on the from hood and bumper. The hood is scratched on the top of it from a shop i sent it to for a tranny rebuild (Story later in thread). Nothing really too major.

Interior Condition: It's in alright shape. The dash is cracked some and unfortunately the panel that goes around the shift boot is gone due to the shop breaking it. The drivers side seat has come pretty bad wear on the corner but other than that the seats aren't too bad. All other panels in the car are in good shape.

Engine Condition: Well considering the car is 20 years old, it's not too terrible. There is some ticking, i think it's either valves or rockers. The oil has been changed once a month due to the odometer not working. I've been using Castrol GTX Synthetic Sludge Protection 10w-30, a quart of Lucas Oil Additive, Gunk Motor Flush, and a Fram filter each oil change since I have had the car. (About a year)

Transmission Condition: 5 SPEED! Now, the whole story behind the tranny. The tranny needed a rebuild due to excessive noise (Bad bearings and gears). I took it to Reliable Transmissions on Jefferson Ave. for the rebuild, a clutch replacement, and shift box rebuild. Now they claim they rebuilt the tranny and they clearly did not, it still grinds like hell and creates quite a bit of noise in all gears, other than 4th. They did however replace the clutch and rebuild the shift box. I did break in the clutch right, no dogging for about 500-600 miles, so it should not be glazed.
SUMMARY - TRANNY WORKS FINE JUST MAKES LOTS OF NOISE.

The Bad:
-Tranny makes noise, will eventually need a rebuild.
-One interior panel missing
-No stereo or speakers (Shop stole them)
-PS pump is going bad
-I think it might leak some coolant but at a very slow rate
-Speedometer, Odometer, and Tripometer do not work.

Honestly, i trust the car so much that i would drive it to California and back and not worry about a thing.

If you're interested, please let me know and come test drive the car! Also, feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks for looking!

PICZ! More upon request!

New Pics:
Of the cleaned interior and shift boot area. I got that panel in around the e-brake as well now. Im going....probably Sunday to go look for a panel that goes around the shift boot and what not. I'll keep you guys posted.
