yes i advanced it mechanicly i just rebuilt the motor to stock specs i went over everything 3 or 4 times just for peice of mind broke the motor in right just swithced over to 10-30 syntec oil and it therw a light so i checked it and it said it was knock sensor on bank1 but back to advanceing the timing i moved the dist forward just alil and never noticed it before..car runs great and pulls good...i did notice car is running kinda rich reading the plugs i had a hytech replica header on the car with no cat and yesterday i put a new cat back on due to it being so loud..but what u said made sense about the dist not keeping up at low throttle cause it just does the knock for a split sec then goes away...i have a chipped phearable ecu on the way should be here tomm..which should cure the problem..thanks for your help Shawn
