(Another) NoVA Car Theft Alert! (W/ Pics)
Everyone, please take the time to check out the thread below. VietBox (from Northern VA; suuuper nice xB with the pink wheels) was broken into Saturday night (12/29/2007). Please keep on the lookout for any of the items listed in the thread, that you might see from someone for sale.
All comments, suggestions, etc. welcome! My thoughts & concern go out to my good friend Viet!
What was stolen:
- 18" Jline 7rl2 Wheels with Toyo Proxes T1R tires
- CF Kenstyle Front lip and splitter (Scion xB)
- JVC KD-AVX1 radio
- Recaro Seats
If anything, someone MIGHT be able to spot these wheels.. I mean they are one of a kind, custom painted. Unless the thief ships them overseas or what not.. But please be on the lookout!
And the seats...

Thieves suck....
Sooner or later God'll cut you down...
Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin' in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as God made black and white
What's done in the dark will be brought to the light.

Go to Walgreens and get 50+ prints made up ($19c/each) of the "before" shots, then tape them to 8-1/2" x 11" flyers that read: "Stolen items, Reward. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" then give them to AutoZone type places and anyone who paints wheels. To keep those wheels on the down low, they will be repainted by anyone not trying to get caught. The skirts and seats may need parts and the person may be dumb enough to go into an auto parts store and say "I'm trying to put Recaros into my Scion, what do I need?".
Contact HEAT, they will need all of the police report info, and the local police station may have some of the fancy brochures. Contact HEAT while you are sitting with the investigator at the police station, you will be taken much more seriously on the phone. Include the brochures with your flyers as the tipper may be eligible for an additional reward that way (even if your Scion buddies chip in for a $100 reward afterwards, say $5 for 20 people, it's at least something). Don't say how much the reward really might be, as that may detract stupid people and don't ask for donations until after the items have been retrieved.

Yes it is a CF headliner.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments.
Can't these people get a REAL JOB instead of ruining peoples (car) lives??? WTF?

Nice car. Sorry for the lose.
One question:
Why spend all that money on a show car and have it parked outside in an apartment complex?
I would have that piece locked up in a garage somewhere.

They aren't apartments. They are townhouses. Over 2k to live there a month, in a nice neighborhood. They have a 2 car garage, but can only park about 4 cars in the garage and driveway area at the same time due to fire regulations. I don't know why it was parked down the street for the night, maybe he got home late and his roommates had taken all of the other parking spaces.
