Yes, you win. You are the master of the court system. You are the biggest idiot I've ever seen on this board, yet your knowledge far surpasses mine. You are the win. DU MA

I just came back from general district court. I forgot to ask, is the original person who started the thread going to juvenile court?
I would never plead no contest, always say guilty w/ explanation, most of the time, if you have a valid reason, you won't get your license suspended by the court unless your in neg. points
no contest...thats like bending over in front of the prosecutor

Plea no contest, anyone who says otherwise doesn't even know what it fucking means. No contest means you are not contesting the charge against you. You are not admitting guilt which will help you if the officer doesn't have enough evidence for the Judge to convict, however if you would have plead guilty then you would be sentenced directly with no consideration. You should use the no contest plea if you want to explain any mitigating circumstances to the Judge before you recieve your sentence and you know you'll probably be convicted, and a not guilty plea when you just want to get out of it altogether.
A plea of no contest will get you a far more lienient sentence than a not guilty plea would if you are convicted.

and BTW, you probably won't get a "plea bargin" in traffic court unless the officer didn't show up or he doesn't have his papers. If you took one then chances are you got screwed and would have got off

This guy knows what he is talking about, and thats why you should take my advice. Don't listen to that i3sec idiot. Just plea No Contest, and be courteous. Try to talk to the prosecutor or even the police officer, and you will be fine. Yes you will get a fine, and probably driving school... but thats what you get for speeding. Good luck.

Mitigation circumstances are when the officer's radar caliberation was expired before offense, the court has not trial the case in a certain time or ur speedometer was defective...(but that can also be a no guilty plead.)
in addition, to this, pleading," NO CONTEST" does not help u to get a lienient sentence than a guilty plead. Sentence has a lot to do w/ ur criminal record, driving history record, ur age, and is it a first offense or continuos habitual offense (mainly w/ DWI).

But only plead bargin w/ ur lawyer... someone w/ experience....don't do this by urself...but if u took one that did not mean u r screw...
my advice to u, is to get a lawyer if u feel that u r not guilty and even if u r..a lawyer helps u w/ sentensing....police officer can not help u much now...he can only request punishment and testify because it is a Class 1 mis. and a jailable offense. class 3-4 mis. he can choose to no pros the offense.
ps...he will be there ... the trail date is alway on his court date...plus, it's a jailable offense...OH, HE WILL HAVE HIS NOTES!!
(again, i'm not a lawyer ... taking my advice is ur actions and ur decisions alone ....u bare all the risk!! I take, nor, are, and/or bare responsiblility for the conquences for ur actions)7
hint hint small texts read it..alway read small texts!!!
