Re: HANDGUN LAWS in va?
I do believe you are the only one who is NOT a retard in this thread, holy fuck.
Word to the wise, take the course, pay your 50 bucks, and get your CCW, after that, there is no "grey" area, you are good to go.
I was pulled over (although i have a CCW) with a gun sitting in my change thingy holder, i just kept my hands on the steering wheel, said to the cop hey, there is a firearm right there just informing you. He took it, unloaded it, wrote me my ticket (fucking tint) and gave me my gun back, and the bullets back ina baggy, he didnt care at all.. and this was a Trooper, WHY? because its not illegal to have a loaded gun in the car as long as its visible or you have a CCW then it can be under your seat or hidden.

I got a tint ticket feb. 1st all the trooper did was take my gun back to his car while he wrote the ticket. Then he asked me to drop the back window placed it on the back seat.Get the permit 100 - 160 is worth piece of mind.

Re: HANDGUN LAWS in va?
went last week and put about 100 rounds through a glock 21 (.45 auto), and then a glock 23 (compact .40). Definitely enjoyed shooting the .45 a lot more, and felt i was much more accurate with it. i've been debating back and forth whether my tax return will be buying my first pistol or not... hmmmmmm

Re: HANDGUN LAWS in va?
21. I plan on carrying concealed once i get the permit and everything. i feel like the full size might be a little too big. HOWEVER, glock does not make a compact .45 auto, only subcompact, which i dont understand. I am definetly reconsidering getting the glock 23, possibly compensated, due to overall size and firepower... might just have to make that sacrifice of a lil power for a lil size... we'll see. got any thoughts on that?

Actually its at Bob's gun range here in Norfolk. I have shot at Blue Ridge a few times though, and will probably be heading there with my pops this weekend (he's got all the toys: Compact .45 USP, Wilson Combat tactical elite 1911, some sig .22, Stainless Desert Eagle .50, Ar15, Ar10...handful of shotguns i dont really care about too) .

Id go for the ak personally. Much more affordable to shoot. Or you could just get a ciener kit for the ar.
