Re: a LITTLE update on the slomaro....
Last season we ran it strait out of the crate, minus a few things to the carb and change of heat range in plugs and differnt timing then they say to. Insted of 720hp like they claim on the engine dyno last year made 821hp. We backed it up with a TH400 trans with a cust tq converter with a 5600 stall with coen and from there a 456 gear got us down the 8th mile launching off foot brake (2000 rpm) and ran 6.0 @ 114 on a 1.3 60 foot with a best of 6.0@115 with a 1.27 60 foot.
This year, the heads have been ported and polished along with the intake manifold and gasket matched. Along with that a direct port/pro fogger 1 stage system (for now) 300 shot on top of the 800 its already making. Motor was went through this season as well to ensure everything would stay intact.
As for goals a 6.0 is a low 9 sec pass in the qr so this year since we changed gears to a 410 and added the nitrous and a new converter to hold the nitrous and a new stall along with a trans brake and 2 step we are hoping ill drive the car down the strip for a 8 sec pass.
wish me luck :-)
