Typically, the people that stand out the most against something, in particularly homosexuality, are the ones that get busted giving head in a truck stop bathroom or something.

I was raised in a Christian household, went to Church on Wednesdays and Sundays, and all it ever did was raise more questions than answers. When I would ask questions, I was met with cryptic, nonsensical, run around bull shit answers, and said to "just leave it in Gods hands". As I got into my late pre-teen years, even I could pick up on all the double standards, and the hypocritical bull shit that was going on. Some of the foulest, most bigotive, ignorant, racist, petty and insincere people I have ever met were so called "Christians". I came to realize that 99% of these folks went around treating everyone else like they had no dignity, and it was all good because come Sunday, throw a $20 in the dish, and you were good to go.

Fuck that.

And I don't need a Bible or a church to tell me the golden rule.

I started out that way because that is how I was taught I should be. My father was the first to break away from the normal teachings and do some research on his own because he was in an interracial relationship through the 70s. I kind of followed suit in my own way, but for other reasons.

I learned that I am not a religious person, I am however a Spiritual person. All I really need to know is life is too short to make others shorter, and the golden rule. TO be honest, you don't need a deity for that.

I am sure I have said this before, but here goes again:

The difference between a religious man, and a spiritual man is, the religious man is sitting in Church thinking about fishing, while the spiritual man is fishing, and thinking about God.

so how did being a christian turn into a argument about religion? were were you guys when i was holding my dead daughter? god put my pastor there to get me through that, im sorry but you guys are way stronger than i could ever be. the rep comments left to me are unbelieveible, i dont understand how someone could harbor so much hate in themselves. my only guess is a lack of god in their life. religion is what adam and eve did in the garden.
