washington post article
Anyone see the story on the front of the metro section in todays washington post? Apparently the cops have a helicopter with infrared video equipment and an undercover cop going to street races to crack down on street racing. The thing that really bothers me is that they stereotype any import enthusiast as a street racer.

Yeah that is true about stereotyping. Everyone that hangs out with imports isn't looking to street race. Some ruin it for all though, so I guess have to deal with it. And why would they say that they are going to put in undercover cops?

Because he is undercover, you wont know that he's a cop . Also, if people know there is an undercover cop lurking around somewhere, they are probably going to be less likely to race out of fear of getting caught.

Yeah I know you wouldn't know it is a cop, but it still seems they shouldn't say anything. Word will get around quick enough that there is a cop busting people racing. But I guess it depends the way you look at it.
