I'm mating it up to a magnum 5.9L.

Very slow project that has taken a back burner for now. But I can't wait to finish it one day.

My next truck build will probably a bobbed duece...to get away from height laws. I want to put 2.5 ton rockwells under something, 70's bronco or 4 door 70's Ford pickup..but the height laws take the fun right out of the project.

I think the law also takes into account the frame of the vehicle. There was a guy local that took a dump truck frame, put a 70's ford truck body on it with 2.5's and huge tires and legally could drive it around on the streets. But I also think he needed his CDL to drive it.

It must have weighed 26001+ or had air brakes to require a CDL. That's why a duece is perfect for 2.5 tons and 53" Michelins, it weighs under 26k but over 15k ( bumper height regulations don't apply to 15k+ and CDL doesn't start til 26001) and they have air over hydraulic brakes, which don't require a CDL. Easy, and beats hassling with DMV and the police.

Gotcha so then no CDL to drive that huge truck that goes through town. I may have to find him and ask to drive so I can run over shit.

Trail Run at Shoe Creek this Saturday the 13th. We are meeting at the Food Lion in Lovingston, Va at 9am and then proceeding to the trail in a convoy. Mid-trail lunch and probably food and drinks at Devil's Backbone afterwords- but that is TBD after the wheeling.

Anyone and everyone is invited- feel free to PM me with questions or if you would like my cell #.
